Foxhall Resort Georgia Wedding | Mary + Matt
Taco-Slingin' + Backyard Georgia Wedding | Courtney + Brad
People say that rain on a wedding day is good luck, right? If that’s the case, then I’m confident that Mary + Matt’s marriage is going to be THE most blessed and beautiful! I say that not only because I believe it in my heart, but also because it poured rain the entire day. But truly, you wouldn’t have known being with Mary and Matt throughout the day. The two of them just enjoyed the day, knowing that everything would work out the way it was supposed to. And surprise… it did!
The big day took place at the beautiful Foxhall Resort in Douglasville, Georgia. The day started in a beautiful house (and cabin for the guys) on the property, and then soon moved to the most beautiful lodge. It was a perfect setting for their holiday-spirited wedding.
One of my favorite parts of Mary and Matt’s wedding was the reception. Or really, you could call it a straight-up party… because that’s exactly what it is. And you better BELIEVE that the moment DJ Unk’s 2-Step came on, I started dancing with both of my cameras harassed on my shoulders without a care in the world. It was truly a sight to see. This was just a downright fun wedding, y’all. And I’m sure you’ll get that from going through these photos.
Downtown Roswell GA Proposal | Mark + Mary
I’m just going to be honest and say that I think I had a permanent smile plastered on my face throughout the duration of Brad and Courtney’s wedding day. I mean, how could I not?! These two radiate straight JOY. And it’s freaking magnified when they are together. So yeah, just call me “Smiley Sav.”
This December wedding day was extra special— being that it poured the whole weekend, when Sunday rolled around, it was a shock to everyone that the sun was peaking through the clouds AND it was in the high 60s. Does it get better than that? Why yes, yes it does.
As all the gang started arriving at West Milford Farm, everything started falling into place just perfectly. Decorations were hung, hugs exchanged, dresses put on, and ties straightened. All the fun started with a first look from Courtney’s bridesmaids, followed by a first-look with Courtney’s dad, and then of course, it was Brad’s turn to see his bride.
To make a long story short— I got a text last week from one of my old college friends asking me if there would be a slight possibility of me capturing her mom’s engagement that was happening in a couple days or so. I checked my calendar and had an open spot for about 2 hours on Saturday… and it worked PERFECTLY!
After spending some time in communication with Mark, we decided that it would be good to have the excuse of booking a mini photo shoot for Mary’s birthday (which yes, was on the day she was proposed to). It was all so exciting and last minute. The plan was to meet in downtown Roswell for a photo session, and then Mark and their families would meet for a celebratory dinner. What do you know… everything fell into place beautifully and a big, resounding “YES!” was said at the end of the night. Lots of smiles, hugs, and kisses were shared and it was just the best. Congrats Mary + Mark! I pray that this season of engagement is the sweetest. xx
