Fall Industrial Wedding in TN | Caitlyn + Caleb
Caitlyn and Caleb are familiar faces here on the site— you can look at their engagement photos here! Their big day followed not too long after their sweet photo session here in my neck of the woods. The early November wedding was full of all the fall flavor that we are known to typically drool over (ok, at least that I drool over). The weather was nearly perfect when the time came for the two to get married— sunny skies, a cool breeze, and the perfect amount of cloud coverage.
The wedding had industrial touches laced throughout, as well as other homey details that meant a lot to both Caitlyn and Caleb. The intentionality behind every decision involving the wedding was made very clear in how sweetly the day progressed. It was truly a beautiful day. Caleb and Caitlyn, thank you for inviting me into such a sweet season of your life— praying and believing that the best is yet to come for you two.
The Hayman Wedding
What does a gal do when one of her favorite bands is playing at Red Rocks Ampitheatre and she has oodles of rapid rewards travel points (shoutout to Southwest)?! She decides to fly out to Denver on a whim, visit one of her best friends + celebrate her 24th birthday CO style— jamming out at a snowy concert!
I was so busy soaking up time with Kels (and let’s be real— trying to keep my camera out of the sleet/snow), that I barely snapped any shots. I will say, my camera got some major attention when we visited Garden of the Gods on my birthday. Kels was so thoughtful that she planned out the most fun day and freakin’ brought balloons along to ensure that everyone knew we were celebrating something! It was a magical day— full Torchy’s Tacos, my first Dutch Bros experience, and seeing The National at my most favorite concert venue.
It’s always a treat to gain friendships out of a job. I think (wait, I know) my favorite thing about being a photographer is definitely the people I get to meet and the stories I get to hear. Jess + Casey are certainly no exception. I remember when I first met Jess, it was for coffee at a local coffeeshop in our little college town. I was visiting from Atlanta and she was finishing out school. The moment we sat down and started chatting and dreaming about her wedding day, I knew that she was someone special. Which in my mind meant that Casey, her fiancé (now husband), must be special. I mean, c’mon— anyone that knows the two would agree.
After making things official, we started the wedding planning process. October came quickly, and I remember driving up to Tennessee on the most beautiful day and arriving to the most peaceful house full of beautiful girls getting ready for the big day. Everything was slow + simple— just as you would expect it to be. There were tears, hugs, prayers, and love… so much love laced throughout the day. One of my favorite moments was before Jess walked down the aisle to meet Casey. The girls gathered in the farmhouse living room and spent time reading the Word together. One of the bridesmaids led a devotion, while another prayed at the very end. It was something I’d never seen before. Yes, I typically see prayers, but a solid 15 minutes or so cut out to read the word as a group of bridesmaids… it was new. And it was my favorite.
