Modern + Industrial Tennessee Wedding | The Batallers

Every little thing about this day… the friends + family of the couple, the blanketing presence of the Lord, the whispered prayers, the simply-sweet decor touches, and of course, the couple themselves— it was all gold. I found myself multiple times throughout the progression of their big day brushing warm tears from my cheeks. It was stunning.

And let me just say, I’m honored. So honored that I’ve been invited to capture some of life’s most sacred moments.

Tucked away in the Tennessee town of Shelbyville, Jenna and Lee got married at Gateway Church (where they both serve in leading worship). You can only imagine how that aspect of their relationship was incorporated into their wedding… worshipful and anointed, indeed. Between every break in the day, I found Jenna + Lee soaking up every moment, thanking God, and celebrating love with their friends and family. I think the thing that stirred me to my core was the hope I saw myself carrying home with me after shooting this wedding. A great hope and belief in God’s faithfulness. A great hope in His kindness to give us the desires of our hearts. A longing hope to one day experience a unique and beautiful love with my own husband and friends + family. It was all beautiful… and I know that everyone that had the honor of being a part of the day would agree. Just beautiful.

Since words still fall short I’ll stop while i’m ahead… Jenna and Lee, I love you two. And I can’t thank you enough for inviting me into this day. I pray God blesses your marriage in ways greater than you would have ever imagined. You two are a powerhouse.

(You can find both Lee + Jenna with Madison Street Worship here— this team leads so powerfully and I think it would bless you to give their album a listen.)
